Quintessential Canada Inc. (QCI) is an Ontario-based commercial manufacturer of custom wood packaging. We serve wineries, beverage brands, agencies, corporate teams, and product manufacturers across North America, with a focus on consistent production quality and dependable timelines.
What is the difference between Quintessential Canada, WineBox.ca, and WoodBox.ca?
Quintessential Canada is the manufacturer. WineBox.ca and WoodBox.ca are product-focused storefronts for the same factory: WineBox.ca for wine and spirits bottle boxes, and WoodBox.ca for custom presentation and retail packaging. Same construction, same finishing, same production floor.
Which site should I order from?
Use WineBox.ca for standard bottle boxes with an online price estimator. Use WoodBox.ca for custom presentation packaging and non-bottle projects. Contact Quintessential Canada directly for large commercial programs, multi-product packaging, or anything spanning more than one brand.
Where are the boxes made?
In-house in Ontario. There are no brokers or overseas subcontractors between your order and our production floor.
Products & Capabilities
What can you manufacture?
Custom wood boxes and presentation packaging: wine and spirits, corporate gifts, retail and promotional packaging, food products, glassware, and collectibles. All customizable with branding, engraving, inserts, dividers, yokes, handles, hardware, and finishes.
What makes your construction different?
Box-joint (finger-joint) construction — no nails or staples. The interlocking joint is stronger and more durable, and presents as more premium than a stapled or nailed box.
What woods and finishes do you offer?
Eastern White Pine is standard; Cherry, Maple, and Black Walnut are available for premium projects. Finishes are eco-friendly, non-toxic oils and water-based aniline stains — no lacquers or paint.
Do you have sustainability or industry credentials?
Yes. We are an Ontario Wood partner; materials are sourced from FSC and Sustainable Forestry Initiative suppliers; finishes are natural and non-toxic; and our shop uses CNC nesting software to reduce waste along with LED lighting. Membership and certification marks are shown on our site.
Commercial & Repeat Production
What is your minimum order quantity?
It depends on box configuration and customization. Contact us with your estimated quantity and we'll recommend the most economical approach. As a reference point, the minimum for standard wine boxes is 12.
Do you support repeat and commercial production programs?
Yes — repeat programs are a core part of our business. Once specifications and branding are established, we retain the project file so reorders are consistent and straightforward.
Do you offer rush production?
Rush production may be available depending on current capacity and project scope. Include your required delivery date when you submit your inquiry.
Can you replicate or improve an existing box design?
Yes. If you have prior specifications or a physical sample, we can review it and either replicate the design or suggest improvements.
Can you work with our agency or packaging designer?
Yes. We manufacture from supplied concepts and specifications, or collaborate with your team on construction, dimensions, inserts, branding, and production requirements.
Can you help design the box?
Yes. You don't need finished engineering drawings. Our team assists with dimensions, construction, CAD design, inserts, material selection, and branding placement to turn a concept into a manufacturable box.
Quotes, Shipping & Payment
How do I request a quote?
Send the basics: what the box holds, product or inside dimensions, approximate quantity, preferred box style, branding or engraving requirements, desired finish, required delivery date, and destination. Include drawings, artwork, photos, or an existing sample if you have them. We'll recommend a construction and provide pricing.
Do you ship across Canada and to the United States?
Yes. We ship Canada-wide — including Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Quebec — and supply contiguous U.S. customers regularly. Canadian-made goods qualify for duty-free entry into the U.S. where applicable. Logistics are coordinated by volume and destination.
How do invoicing and payment work?
Quintessential Canada issues production estimates and invoices directly. Online invoice payment is available for both Canadian and international invoices, and commercial customers can set up an account through customer registration.
Where are your Terms of Use and Privacy Policy?
Both are published on QuintessentialCanada.com and apply to orders placed through Quintessential Canada and its brand sites.
